The Western Australian Contingent is offering an optional Post-Tour on the Gold Coast following the Jamboree. The Post-Tour will operate from 16 January till 21 January 2025 (five nights).
The Post-Tour will include a range of activities to choose from, such as Gold Coast theme parks, Brisbane city adventure, Tangalooma experience, Springbrook and Lamington National Parks, Tree-Top Challenge Gold Coast, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Australia Zoo, and much more!
accommodation
Located just 40 minutes from Brisbane and an hour from the Gold Coast, PGL Kindilan occupies a beautiful, 220-acre bushland site in Redland Bay, zoned a Conservation Area in South East Queensland.
Our accommodation at PGL Camp Kindilan will be in comfy dormitories.
application and cost
The optional Post-Tour is an additional $1,220. This fee includes all activities, catering, transport, and dormitory accommodation.
A total of 170 places are available on the Post-Tour. These places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis (except for adult members, as outlined below).
Youth members please note: if you select ‘Yes’ to attend the Post-Tour in your online application, and your overall application to attend AJ2025 as a member of the Western Australian Contingent is approved, then your place on the Post-Tour is automatically confirmed.
Adult members please note: our optional Post-Tour is a youth-focused activity. For adult members, selecting ‘Yes’ to attend the Post-Tour in your online application indicates your interest in attending the Post-Tour; however, your Post-Tour place is not confirmed until advised by the Contingent Support Team. Should the number of adult applicants exceed the number of adults required to safely operate the Post-Tour, a selection process will be undertaken to select adult members for the Post-Tour.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Scouts will get to create their own Post Tour adventure from a selection of activities. And here are some of the activities that may be on offer.
AUSTRALIA ZOO
- Visit the famous Crocoseum, watch the tigers play & swim or visit the birds in the rainforest habitat. There is plenty to see at Australia Zoo.
gOLD COAST THEME PARKS
- Choose the Theme Park of your choice – Warner Bros. Movie World, Dream World or Sea World. Enjoy a full day exploring these exciting attractions.
BRISBANE CITY EXPLORER
- Head in to Brisbane City to explore South Bank and the Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the views from the amazing Story Bridge Adventure Climb.
tangalooma
- Visit Moreton Island and explore the pristine beaches, hang out in the resort pool and watch the pelican feeding. Enjoy your relaxing day at Tangalooma Resort.
tamborine national park
- Explore Tamborine Mountain. Your day might include the Glow Worm Caves, Adventure Park and some short hikes.
gold coast explorer
- Learn to surf on the famous Gold Coast beach, check out the views from the Sky Point Observation Deck and experience Infinity.
