The next Australian Scout Jamboree will be held from Monday 6 January till Wednesday 15 January 2025. Western Australians will likely depart on Sunday 5 January 2025 and travel home on Thursday 16 January 2025.
Visitor Days is an opportunity for visitors to experience Jamboree life. There are three dates available for visitors to check our the Australian Jamboree site:
- Friday 10 January 2025
- Saturday 11 January 2025 - Future Scout Day
- Sunday 12 January 2025.
Location
Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park in Queensland is the home of AJ2025! Located around 3 hours north of Brisbane city, the home of the 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree (AJ2013) is set to host another AJ in January 2025.
The purpose-designed fully fenced 105-hectare reserve is filled with assets and is divided into two major areas:
- The exhibition area which accommodates halls, stadium, arenas, camping sites and other buildings. The site includes car parking space for 1,800 vehicles at any one time, while still allowing for the safe flow of buses to and from the site; and
- The second area is bushland for cross-country horse riding, horse trail riding, outdoor recreation, challenge valley and incorporates further camping areas.
AJ2013 Jamboree utilised both areas for camping, camp facilities and some of the smaller daily Jamboree activities. The venue allows for approximately 250 Unit sites.
The Jamboree will transform Maryborough! The tent city will incorporate a shopping mall, radio station, daily newspaper, bus station, entertainment arena and medical centre.
