The WA Contingent have been working hard over the last month, on our journey towards AJ2025. Planning is well underway for Pre-Camp, merchandise is close to being ordered, and lots of flights are being booked to move 700 Scouts across the country.
Have a read of some important updates below, and stay across everything you need to know for AJ2025!

jamboree units
We are thrilled to share an exciting Jamboree update! Unit allocations for Western Australia are complete and we can announce our AJ2025 Units.
Western Australia will have 15 Jamboree Units at AJ2025. We are also pumped to announce that we are hosting six International Patrols across six of our Jamboree Units. This means you could be sharing your Queensland adventure with Scouts from New Zealand, Canada, or the UK!

A friendly reminder that your first payment of $750 is now overdue. You can make your payment by logging into the online application system.

merchandise sizing
AJ2025 is only 215 days away and our team is busy behind the scenes finalising transport, merchandise and pre jam.
Our merchandise order will be finalised over the coming days we would like you to check your application to ensure you have input the correct t-shirt size. There has been a small change to some of the sizes and we want to ensure this shirt will fit you in January 2025, lots of growing between now and then…don’t forget Christmas lunch too!!

Don’t forget you can also order additional merchandise on the WA Contingent Tab. You can purchase extra WA Contingent polo shirts, a soft shell jacket, hoodie or additional WA Contingent badges. This additional merchandise will need to be paid in full when ordering.
Please note that there will be limited swaps available, so be sure to complete the above step.
post tour - last spots
If you are interested in joining us for post tour, we have 5 spots left, and they will be filled very quickly. These spots are only available for youth members.
If you would like to join us for an extra adventure after Jamboree, then jump back onto your application and sign up on the ‘Contingent’ tab.
blue card information
The Queensland Government does not recognise interstate working with children checks. In order to attend the Jamboree, all Contingent members aged 18 and over at the time of the Jamboree will need a valid Blue Card, which is the Queensland equivalent of a working with children check.
You will still need a valid Working with Children Check in Western Australia so as to maintain your adult membership with Scouts WA.
We strongly recommend that all Contingent members aged 18 and over at the time of the Jamboree work towards obtaining their Blue Card by 1 September 2024. You do not need to have obtained your Blue Card in order to submit your application to attend the Jamboree.

9 – 10 November 2024: Gear Pack Weekend (Scouts WA Adventure Centres – Manjedal)
5 January 2025: Contingent departs Perth
16 January 2025: Contingent returns to Perth
21 January 2025: Post-tour returns to Perth
8 – 9 February 2025: Gear Unpack Weekend (Scouts WA Adventure Centres – Manjedal)
