From the captivating bushland to the lively campfire stories, bringing friends along enhances the sense of unity and creates lasting bonds. Exploring the diverse activities, challenges, and cultural exchanges becomes even more enjoyable when shared with familiar faces. Whether conquering outdoor challenges, engaging in team-building exercises, or simply soaking in the spirit of the Jamboree, having friends by your side transforms the adventure into a collective celebration of friendship and shared experiences.

So, pack your bags, rally your friends, and embark on an Australian Jamboree for an unforgettable journey filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Blue Cards

The Queensland Government does not recognise interstate working with children checks. In order to attend the Jamboree, all Contingent members aged 18 and over at the time of the Jamboree will need a valid Blue Card, which is the Queensland equivalent of a working with children check.

You will still need a valid Working with Children Check in Western Australia so as to maintain your adult membership with Scouts WA.

We strongly recommend that all Contingent members aged 18 and over at the time of the Jamboree work towards obtaining their Blue Card by 1 September 2024. You do not need to have obtained your Blue Card in order to submit your application to attend the Jamboree.

Information about how to obtain a Blue Card can be found by clicking the link below.

Our Jambassadors are aiming to visit every Scout Unit in Western Australia to share their Jamboree stories!

We’ll bring photos, videos, badges and prizes to get your Scout Group excited about AJ2025. The roadshow presentation is most effective if parents/guardians are invited to come along and discover what the Jamboree is all about. If you are yet to book your roadshow for Term 1 2024, secure your spot today!

The WA Contingent’s actioned packed Post-tour is filling up fast, with only 60 places still available!

Participants will get to choose their own adventure on the Post-tour, with activities that may include Theme Parks, Gold Coast Surfing, Brisbane Explorer and more!

If you want to join us, on our Gold Coast/Brisbane adventure, remember to select ‘Yes’ on the Contingent Tab in your Application.

Limited places available, so get in quick!

Do you know whats in store for your time at AJ2025?

Your Seaside is one of the program elements that you will get to do. It is a full day offsite packed full of water activities.

Things like snorkelling, swimming, sand sculptures, beach games, rubber ducks, and stand up paddle boards.

Have a look at this video from AJ2019 to see what water activities are like at Jamboree.

Independent Travel is where a Contingent member organises their own travel to the Jamboree. In other words, you book your own flights and make your own way to Maryborough.

The Contingent will organise to collect you from Maryborough before the Jamboree. After the Jamboree, we will drop you back in Maryborough. Contingent members cannot be dropped directly at the Jamboree site due to security at the gate to ensure the safety of all Jamboree participants.

Independent travel requests must be submitted in your online application by 31 March 2024. You can make a request for independent travel on the ‘Contingent’ tab in the online application system. No changes to travel arrangement requests can be made after the 31 March 2024.
