Eligibility

All Jamboree participants must fit into one of the categories below. Please contact us if you’re unsure about any of the requirements.

Must be a current registered youth member at the time of application and through until at least 15 January 2025.
Must not have had their 15th birthday as of 6 January 2025 ie. Date of Birth after 6 January 2010.
Must have met the requirements, before 1 December 2024: Program Essentials Milestone 1, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping.
Must have completed 10 nights camping in the outdoors with the Unit or Patrol, as a Scout. Three of those nights must be consecutive and camping with family or school is not considered.
Have approval from the Unit Council.
Have consent from their parents/guardian.
Must be considered by their parents/guardians and Unit Council to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the event.
Be approved by the Contingent Leader

An eligible Venturer Scout choosing this category will be assigned to a Unit and a Patrol comprising of Scouts. They will engage as a Scout in all activities and responsibilities.
Must be a current registered youth member at the time of application and through until at least 15 January 2025.
Must not have had their 17th birthday as of 6 January 2025 ie. Date of Birth after 6 January 2008.
Must have met the requirements, before 1st December 2024: Program Essentials Introduction to Section for Venturer Scouts, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in each of Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping.
Have approval of their Unit Council.
Have consent of their parents/guardian.
Must be considered by their parents/guardians and Unit Council to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the event.
Be approved by the Contingent Leader.

Must be a current registered youth member at the time of application and through until at least 15 January 2025
Must have had their 16th birthday as of 6th January 2025 i.e. date of birth before 06 January 2008.
Have a desire to provide service to Scouts.
Must have met the requirements, before 1 December 2024: Program Essentials Milestone 1, as well as Outdoor Adventure Skills Stage 3 in Bushcraft, Bushwalking, and Camping.
Be recommended by the Unit Council and Venturer Scout Leader as being of excellent character, a good role model to Scouts and has the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) nominated on the application form.
Have consent of their parents/guardian.
Be approved by the Contingent Leader.

Must be a current registered youth member at the time of application and through until at least 15 January 2025.
Be 18 years of age before the opening day of the Jamboree and must be not older than 26 years as of 15 January 2025.
Hold a current Blue Card (or Exemption) issued or linked as a volunteer with Scouts Queensland.
Compulsory on demand modules Child Safe Scouting and WHS for Scouting are current.
Be recommended by their Unit Council as being of excellent character, a good role model to younger Youth Members, and have the skills and abilities to undertake the activity (or other tasks) nominated on the application form
Be approved by the Contingent Leader.
Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.

Must be a current registered Adult Member (e.g. Office Holders, Fellowship) with a Certificate of Adult Membership at the time of application and through until at least 15 January 2025.
Hold a current Blue Card (or Exemption) issued or linked as a volunteer with Scouts Queensland.
Compulsory on demand modules Child Safe Scouting and WHS for Scouting are current.
Be recommended by their Team Leader.
Be approved by the Contingent Leader.
Be ready to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
